Loved this app, was quick to use to quickly start a web server on my local network. Updated to version 2 and now it wants me to pay $10 to go beyond 20 sessions, what? Downgraded to 1.0.2 and now have a copy of it saved on my external drive. Why did you have to ruin something good, Iconfactory...

A great app. Hope to hide dock icon when running. Please add hide dock icon function.

I have been self-teaching web development rather diligently for the past year, and I am so grateful that I stumbled upon this gem of a tool. This is the simplest, cleanest, and least resource-hungry way to test out website development. Just load your folder and away you go! I haven't tried the Bonjour connected Apple device feature, but I am eager to try that out soon. Highly recommended for all developers!

This app does one and does it really well.

Such a great utility: Beautifully simple, easy to set up and use, and I love the fitting tribute to Tim Berners-Lee's "WorldWideWeb" app that started it all! Thank you, Iconfactory! To add "WYSIWYG" HTML file authoring like Tim's original app provided, this pairs beautifully with TypeMetal, which produces modern, streamlined HTML5 files while offering direct visual editing of fully CSS-styled content. Creating and test-flighting Web content couldn't be easier.

Pease dont ever change the core functionality of this app, it works perfectly in its simplicity. No other web host app can rival this one.
  • Works well for simple sites

Works well for basic sites, but with complex sites it will crash. I had this happen with one site. It failed to load the site and if I tried to launch the app again, it would immediately crash. I had toremove the app and then manually delete the leftover bits in ~/Library before I could get it to launch. Ideally on crash, it would not try to reload the same directory or have a "safe-mode" launch.

Within a day of getting this app I was already putting it to use several times a day. Thank you!

It is like "Start" back in the day!!! I love this app. I use Hugo for my website and always wanted a local version to view. I just didn't want to spend the time... This app took literally seconds (as in maybe 30?) to setup run and test from my iPad.

I'm primarily a UX Designer, working in XD or Figma, but I like to dabble and build actual working prototypes for fun using html/CSS/JS and run them locally. It is impossible (UNTIL. NOW) to do this between a Mac and an iPhone or locally on an iPhone without Node or similar installed on the Mac. But now, with this AWESOME app, you can serve up a small site on run it on all your Bonjour (locally) connected Apple devices in their respective browsers. It was so much fun serving up my old designs without have to spin up Node and jockey with that darn thing!
