  • Burns up battery

How can this still not be fixed? The app is unusable because of how much it kills the battery.

Pay for a sub just to get fed ads… no thanks

Excellent news reporting 👍; great app👍 highly partisan, predictable, one sided editorials👎

Why in the world can’t you include the comments feature in the app? I always use the web version so I can read the comments.
  • a battery hog and many articles don’t load properly

I can watch a 2+ hour movie just fine on my iPad but the WSJ app will totally drains the battery in less time. I use it in print edition mode mostly, not sure if that has anything to do with it. Graphics heavy articles won’t load properly without restarting app. Frustrating.
  • Beware insidious and expensive stealth billing

Beware insidious and expensive stealth billing associated with your account for the app. Expensive auto billing will occur indefinitely without notifications.

The new WSJ app is trash! They should have kept the old one. User interface is terrible. Lots of bugs, can’t find anything.
  • Fixed previous issues

This is an update to previous reviews. Very easy now to read wsj content in daily format which is similar to paper editions. Format is excellent and very well laid out. Also very easy to download each daily edition (and verify that it was downloaded) for reading while on the move. Please do not change this again with future app updates!
  • Takes up GBs of storage. Can’t delete.

This app for some reason saves up a ton of cache data and the worst thing you CANNOT CLEAR IT. I have 2.2 Gb on my phone at this moment and I use the app once or twice a week. A quick search shows that someone posted this problem in 2014 and no one has fixed it still. All the software engineers getting paid $100,000s and still couldn’t figure this out in a decade. Deleted the app. I’ll stick w browser until my subs expire. Absolutely stupid lack of basic feature.
