  • Love the Speaker, Not the Software

    I use my JBL flip 5 speaker often, but not this software. This software seems to do three things really well: 1) Pairing two + speakers for stereo sound or multi speaker “party” mode, 2) Updating the speaker’s firmware. 3) Collecting your data, like device use, location, and whatever else they Hoover up really well!. Otherwise, this app does nothing. No equalizer, no speaker options available, nothin. If you don’t have multiple JBL flip 5s, there’s no point to this software.

    At home I have a charge and a partybox and the app will not allow me to use both at the same time. Also the app doesn’t recognize the party box. JBL please add all of your speakers to the app.

    I finally got my Flip 5 to pair with the app after numerous attempts and the only thing the app lets you do is pair it with a second speaker. I thought it would let me adjust the settings like the bass, treble, etc. But it doesn’t do anything other that let you use a second speaker. I’m not really sure why this app exists

    IM A BIG FAN OF THE JBL SOUND. I BOUGHT TWO JBL BOOMBOX3 AND I DONT KNOW IF ITS THE “JBL APP” OR MY JBL BOOMBOX, BUT I GET DISCONNECTED OR GLITCHES ON MY SOUND WHEN THEIR PAIRED OR JUST BY PLAYING JUST ONE SPEAKER AT A TIME, IT HAPPENS PRETTY OFTEN.

    Bought clip 4s for the holidays for my kids and me and this app only works with the clip 5. Ridiculous they can’t make it work with something which was sold less than a year ago.

    All I want is an app that will tell me how much battery life I have left on my Flip 4. My phone will pair with it but the app WILL NOT. Complete junk. (The speaker and the app)

    Hey so I’ve been using JBL portable speakers for years. I love the physical speakers. This app tho. I remember it used to work a few yers ago but I can’t connect anything to it. But good news as long as you have a roughly same generation product (as in two flip 5’s) or something that came out in a similar time just pair the both the speakers to Bluetooth ans hit that infinity sign and they still sink sadly you can’t control the stereo or party boost but hey two speakers is better then one (take it from an AV person :p ) JBL if you read this I think yall may need an update I’m sorry the app fell off. Love the new extreme 3 I got tho.

    I tried to get it to connect multiple times, can’t get it to connect. Flip 6 connects to my phone just fine, but the app doesn’t.
