  • Not intuitive, hard to find all the stories

The UI is really confusing. I think that the Today tab is confusing — I can only see one story at a time, so it feels kinda like social media and an algorithm of what’s supposed to interest me best, even though it’s probably just the front headline. It doesn’t feel like how I want a news paper app to feel like. Even Apple News feels like a more intuitive way of finding stories from a variety of sections. The rest of the app is difficult to navigate too—I can’t always find stories I know exist in the sections tab.

    Appreciate the offline downloading!!
  • Awful new share sheet

The app has introduced a new share sheet that is useless and just make it slower to access the standard share sheet. More and more this app just serves the desires of the Times business department and is hostile to users. Better to just view the Times through browser.
  • It became a tracking app

Why do the New York Times app is tracking on subscribed members? We are paying on a monthly basis and this company still wants to get more money out of our personal data. Deplorable.
  • Why isn’t this app searchable?

There seems to be no way to search for articles, topics, or features.
  • iPad not supported

I can no longer read the NYT on my iPad, which is what I use day to day. It is very frustrating as I have liked your articles. My iPad just updated last night but still doesn’t meet the NYT app. I’m an old lady, not very techie and frustrated. If this isn’t resolved, I guess I will have to cancel my subscription!

Having paid for an NYT online subscription i am confused and annoyed at how the site doesn't recognize me. Hire humans not robots please. It's easier to buy on the newsstand than navigate NYT online :(
  • Best Source of News

All the news that’s fit to print. So much better to the Washington Post. The NYT moderates reviews, but the Post’s reviews are more like a paid Twitter account.
  • Annoying App for Great Journalism

Great paper and I’m a subscriber, but awful app that constantly harasses me to enable tracking of my phone activity for their custom ads. It won’t accept no for an answer. Better to just use it in a browser where ads can be stifled, at that point.
  • Never again

Made the mistake of paying for a year long subscription in advance. Look forward to that ending and deleting this garbage. I will never give this company another dime. The way they have normalized DJT and his behavior since 2015 is unforgivable and disgusting. Good riddance.
