I love this app! I can always find what I am looking for and I don’t have to fight with ads and pop-ups like on other sites. Easy to follow- love the shopping checklist ! Worth every penny!

The NYT recipe app has all the recipes you will ever need for all occasions. From simple weekday soups to luxurious birthday cakes, they are the best. The instructions are clear and results always successful.
  • Where are my private notes???

Updated to the latest version and private notes are no longer a thing. Where did all of my previously saved notes go? I’m hugely disappointed that NYT Cooking would do this to a home cook.

I like the recipes but trying to login is terrible! I can’t log in and it puts me in the create a new account form. Then it won’t accept the email.

Either I’m not finding the videos available or there aren’t many?
  • Substitution guide can be improved.

As a vegetarian/vegan, I find quite a few recipes that can easily be altered to suit me but the substitution guide is too generic and superficial. It would be more useful if there is a direct link or footnote for a specific item. To give a simple example, if milk is part of a recipe, there could be a link for milk that gives oat milk/almond milk in either a bubble or a footnote. You may also consider listing similar items as a link. It could be based on ingredients, time to make, etc.,
  • Starting to creep in Instacart ads

I love this app and all the great recipes it’s inspired me to make. However, this ad creep with Instacart at the ingredient gathering area is off-putting. Please remove it or add the option to disable.
  • Love it, except…

It crashes when I’m trying to leave a note on something I have made. Also, it is annoying that there is no where in the app so store short notes for yourself on minor changes you made to recipes. I really wish they had that so I easily see what I did to make it a success. The note option on the actual recipe isn’t useful for this purpose since you cannot search the notes or easily find what you said.
